WOW, this is our 50th issue 🥲 Whether you’ve been here from Day 1 or just started receiving these weird and hopefully thought-provoking emails, it means a lot to us. This newsletter has been a true exercise in starting something before the road is clear, and we’re so grateful that you’re all along for the ride!
💭 ONE THING WE’RE THINKING ABOUT
If you’ve ever ruminated for days about a tiny mistake, we wrote something for you —
There’s a prevailing belief that being kinder to yourself will make us less ambitious, hinder productivity, and then everything around you will fall apart.
On the blog this week, we dive into why this belief is bullsh*t, and is actually preventing you from enjoying your life.
🎧 ONE THING WE’RE LISTENING TO
DIARY OF A CEO:
The Psychology Master: Becoming Unstuck (134 min)
This one is long, but really interesting. We like to put this one while inducing a clean-the-house flow on the weekend. If this one seems too long for you, skip to if you want to the 1 hour mark, when they talk about why lowering the bar is categorically the best strategy for getting yourself unstuck.
Hint: it’s what we’ve been telling you all along with some science to back it up!
👀 ONE THING WE’RE OBSESSED WITH
If anyone knows the feeling of not being able to start a task because there are so many damn steps, there’s a fun little tool on the web that can help with this — Goblin Tools. All you do is type in the task you’re stuck on, tell it how difficult you find the task (on a scale of 1 to 5 🌶️ emojis), and then watch it automatically come up with the steps you need to accomplish your task!
This is seriously the most neurodivergent-coded tool we’ve ever seen — you’ll love it.
